Referee training

Please 'read more' for details regarding referee training.

If you are interested in attending, please arrange directly with the course organisers and let me know of your intention to attend so that we can keep the club records up to date.

There doesn’t appear to be a cost mentioned for this course but I believe that it is in the region of £50. If there is, the club will cover it for you. In that case, please obtain a receipt and present it to me for reimbursement.

Many thanks and take care

Coaching courses for 2009/10

The Southern Region coaching course dates for Level 1 and level 2 courses in the next season (2009/10) are available here.

As an aide memoir, at least one coach at each Mini age group (under 9-12) should have completed a Level 1 course and at least one coach at each Junior age group (under 13-17) should have completed a level 2 course. However, since the club is required to have a qualified coach to player ratio of at least 1:10, each age group needs more than one qualified person. Therefore as many coaches and assistants as possible are encouraged to consider taking an appropriate course. In the pre-contact age groups (under 7 and 8), completion of a tag course is highly recommended.

Should you wish to complete any of the above courses, please contact Simon Miller or Richard Groves in the first instance. The club can fund a certain number of places and can also apply for financial awards specifically for training coaches therefore cost should not be an issue.
