What a month December was! Almost everyone was impacted by the weather; the amount of snow we faced brought challenges for people from a personal and business perspective. If you talk to your letting agent, and other agents for that matter, you might find they tell you that December is traditionally a very quiet month, and the snow only made it worse. Well, that is not true of all agents. We don’t subscribe to the thinking.
Let us give you a few examples why……….
In December, the Belvoir website received more than 27 million hits. It had more than 189,000 unique visitors.
Here in Oxford, we listed a one-bed property on the 23rd December, by New Year’s day we had received 21 enquiries about it and scheduled 6 viewings for the first day back in January. Needless to say the apartment was under offer before the day was finished.
Many of the 140+ Belvoir offices reported exceptional trading throughout December and particularly high tenant demand; a trend that continues as we move in to January.
