As in previous years, to join for the season each player needs to fill in the Oxford Harlequins M&Js membership form, pay the subscription fee and ensure they have a current registration with the RFU. RFU registration brings the player under the RFU’s insurance cover and is also essential for the player to be eligable to play in county tournaments and leagues.

New to rugby or transfering from another club?
What does this means if you are new to rugby and/or Oxford Harlequins M&Js? It means you need to complete three things: first, fill in an RFU registration form which unfortunately is only available in PDF format to print and fill in by hand. This form, along with two passport-sized photographs, is used by the club to transfer an entry or create an entry in the RFU database and generate a unique RFU registration number; second, you need to pay your subscription fees for the season. This can be done either on-line through the Oxford Harlequins M&Js’ website using Google Checkout or by cash or cheque when you hand in your registration forms. Finally, you need to complete, either online or by printing and filling in by hand, an Oxford Harlequins M&Js membership form. If you choose the online option, you will need the Google Checkout order ID to complete the form. If you use good old fashioned pen and paper, please attach your cheque or cash (in an envelope) to your completed forms, writing your player’s name and age group on the back of the cheque or the envelope.

Returning players
If you are a returning player and have previously submitted an RFU registration form, all you need to do is provide the subscription fee and a completed Oxford Harlequins M&Js membership form. If you want to take advantage of the online membership form, then a Google Checkout order ID number from the online subscription payment will be required to submit the online form. If you print and complete the membership form by hand, then a cheque or cash in an envelope, with the player’s name and age group on the back will be great. There is no need to complete an RFU registration form or provide photos if you have already done so in a previous year.

A special note for Under 13 players
While it is not mandatory, It is normal for U13 players, even if they have previously provided an RFU registration form and photos, to repeat this part of the process. This is usually done because details and appearance of the player may have changed significantly since the original RFU form, and especially photos, were submitted. Doing this resets the RFU registration and provides an ID card suitable for a 13 year old rather than a six year old.
